Real. Strong. Women.
At the University of Tennessee, the members of Alpha Chi Omega are passionate about service and helping our philanthropies–national and local. Nationally, we raise awareness and funds for Domestic Violence Awareness and the Alpha Chi Foundation. Locally, we raise funds and support the women at the YWCA, located right down the road from us! Our mission as Alpha Chi's is to take a stand against domestic violence and educate, not only our members, but also the entirety of our community.
Being the VP of Philanthropy for Alpha Chi Omega has been one of the most honorable roles I have humbly embraced. I am so proud to not only be a part of an organization that fights for such an important cause, but to now serve and lead on the executive board. Domestic violence and sexual assault affects 1 in 3 women, a staggering statistic. Our philanthropic efforts extend beyond any amount of money we raise, but instead how many survivors we can empower and provide assistance to. I will continue to recognize the importance of my role in our chapter, and especially in our community, using my voice to be an advocate for domestic violence awareness and sexual assault prevention. We are real, strong women, helping other real, strong women- something my younger self would be so incredibly proud of. Thank you Alpha Chi Omega and thank you for trusting me with a philanthropy we all hold close to our hearts.
